Name a song that you’ve listened to in the past 24 hours. “She’s Only Happy in the Sun.” It’s nonstop Ben Harper in my apartment. My first boyfriend played me this song when I was 14 because my life back then was all about going to Venice Beach. Luckily, we didn’t have a bad breakup, so I don’t have any painful memories attached to the music.
On that note, what song do you associate with your first kiss? D’Angelo’s “How Does It Feel” was playing at the time — in my head. Honestly, the most memorable make-out sessions I ever had were in [the 2003 movie] Thirteen. Those were hardcore.
Who would you like to portray in a rock biopic? Rickie Lee Jones. Last year I went to see her at the Largo [in L.A.] on Valentine’s Day by myself. She seems eccentric. She started telling stories about her childhood, and I was thinking, “Oh, maybe this is the night when she wants to make this a personal experience.” But it turns out she does that all the time. What’s the first album you bought with your own money? The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I liked her in Sister Act 2. Also, I grew up in an area where I was a minority, so it was culturally diverse.
Do you have a go-to karaoke song? I don’t drink, and karaoke is something you should only do drunk. But I’m obsessed with Adele. I put on “Chasing Pavements” and sing it in my apartment. The great thing about Adele is if you put her on top volume, you actually sound like her while you’re singing. I’ve gotten a few complaints from the neighbors.
What’s the most prized T-shirt in your collection? [Friend and New Moon star] Kristen [Stewart] and I share a lot of clothes, so I wear a lot of Joan Jett shirts. Kristen is playing her in a movie. Yeah, Joan made replicas of the ones she used to wear in the ’80s and gave them to us.
What’s the last concert you attended? I saw the Dead Weather in Vancouver, where we’re shooting [the third Twilight film] Eclipse. I got really into Jack White two years ago because of my friend Sage. She quizzes me on rock music, asking me things like “Who’s your favorite Beatle?” So who is your favorite Beatle? I guess Paul McCartney. This is going to be a controversial thing to say, but I don’t really understand the Beatles. If Kristen were here right now, she would slap me across the face. Then again, if I ask her, “What’s the first line of Biggie’s ‘Juicy’?” she wouldn’t know. Why don’t people sit around and talk about Ol’ Dirty Bastard the way they do the Beatles?
Other than the Beatles thing, I am pretty impressed with her taste in music. However... she doesn't drink? Why is it that I want to call BS on that?
Um...Hi...My name is E, and I blog here occasionally....
So, over ridden by the guilt of not blogging here on any kind of a regular basis, I thought I would write a song...(disclaimer at the end)
(For the full experience, please start humming the Bon Jovi classic, You Give Love a Bad Name, now. Or you can have the YouTube karaoke version playing in the background as you sing along out loud.)

Disclaimer: 1. A long, long, long time ago, I may or may not have been a Twilight Mom. (Several of us may or may not fall into this category, but I am not naming names...) I am sure there are some really great ones out there, but sadly there are enough that get noticed, and their antics are publicized in multiple areas of media, making it really hard to be a fan without people thinking that I am one of them....
I may throw up a little into the back of my mouth everytime I hear an interview that starts out like this: "So, (fill in the name of your choosing) tell us about your strangest fan encounter." I am sure you are goin to be shocked when the answer starts out like this: "There was this Twilight Mom....."
Or there is "that" picture. That shows up EVERYWHERE. You know the one... The one of the Twilight Moms at the red carpet for Twilight, last year.... Apparently it is the only photo taken of any Twilight fan in the last 18 months.
Or allegedly trying to save 45 spaces in line ....
2. I am a huge fan of Bon Jovi and when I happened to have heard this song this afternoon, I was hit with a brief moment of inspiration. So in a nutshell, I do not own this song, this song belongs to Bon Jovi, and I happened to use some creative license with it.
Hope y'all liked it. Hope I blog a little more often. Hugs and Kisses, ~E
Bella Swan: Zombie Killer by Kristen Nicole Rated: M for violence, language and - hopefully - future adult situation. *shem* ::FF.net::
Summary: Zombies have taken over the continental United States. Thus sets the backdrop for an epic love story involving a boy, a girl, and her trusty shovel. AU.
Ok, so... most people who know me know I don't do scary. At all. I've never seen any of the Saw movies or Dawn of the Dead or whatever. I spent the majority Zombieland cowering behind my hands (when I wasn't eyefucking the hell out of Woody Harrelson) and I even shielded my eyes when Carlisle stitched Bella up in New Moon.
In short: I am the most epic pussy ever when it comes to scary, gory stuff... really anything involving blood.
But I effing love this fic.
Best characterizations ever. Bella is just... badass. And snarky as hell, making me laugh and/or snort out loud on more occasions than I care to admit. Best version of Jessica Stanley ever, hands down. And Rosalie. Don't even get me started on the fuckawesmeness of Rosalie.
But Edward. Edward is my kryptonite. Nerdtastic, bespectacled and blushing Edward who also isn't afraid to kick some zombie ass. Umm, swoon. That is all.
It is only four chapters at this point but I am hooked. You will be too. Hop to it.

Summary: High school is brutal. It's even worse when you're not a size two. Worse than that? Having a major crush on the biggest, hottest jerk in high school. Even worse than that? Being paired up with him for a science project.
Wow. This was heartbreaking. It will resonate with everyone who has ever been teased because of their weight, and probably most who haven't.
This is a fantastic portrayal of Bella. She is "overweight" (using quotes there since I don't consider a size 14 overweight), but refuses to give in to societal pressures. She makes no excuses or apologies for her body. She's smart and she's snarky, and on the surface does not let the vicious words of her high school peers bother her.
But inside is a different story.
This is a wonderful story of not only validation for someone who doesn't fit the societal strictures of "beautiful" but also the way one person can completely change your life.
Heartbreaking and beautiful. A must read. It is complete, with the epi and two outtakes to go. Put on your big girl pants and do it.
We all know Kellan Lutz is a sexy man but add good designer clothes makes him drop dead, mouth watering gorgerous. The sexy New Moon star talks to People.com about his fashion choices, even calling himself a fasionista. Tell me how perfect is he?! I love clothes, he loves clothes, why can't we love clothes together?!
People.com:
While his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson admitted to reporters that he doesn’t worry too much about his red carpet looks, saying “I guess I see which one fits and which one looks all right, ” Kellan Lutz says he’s “a fashionista.” At the D&G and Cinema Society-sponsored screening of New Moon in N.Y.C. last Thursday, Lutz came camera-ready in a sleek Dolce & Gabbana suit. And while costars Ashley Greene and Kristen Stewart twirled around the party in designer frocks from Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino respectively, Lutz opined to Stylelist.com that the sexiest thing a woman can wear is “my clothes. A long business shirt. Maybe just that. That covers enough. I like when my girlfriends wear my sweatpants and my Ugg shoes and my tank tops and t shirts.” Not that they can keep them — Lutz told PEOPLE emphatically, “I never let my girlfriends keep my clothes! No!”– reporting by K.C. Baker
It's been a LONG while since I've seen my 100Monkeys all together so when my friend Jamie sent me text about going I jumped at the chance. We never been to the El Cid which is a hipsters' hangout out we were baffled by the dinner theater dinner set up. Even Jackson said it was the weirdest show, it reminded him of a Texas BBQ took a picture of the audience. (I'm in dire need of a new camera so many of Jerad came out blurry, which made me a sad panda!)
I just loved this pic! I wish I had a better camera so I could have gotten everyone on stage!
Okay you Jackson fans, satistfied?! He crouched down just for this pic! So drool dammit!
Jackson on drums, while he played I text WearingWords and I think she tried to jump through the phone when I said Jackson was playing drums....could WearingWords have a crush?
I'm not use to Jerad's hair and won't be happy till its all back. Its too soft and pretty to be in a mohawk!
I love Graupner's rockstar sytle!
Ben Johnson is the King of Cool! He doesnt have to say much, he has a presence that's overwhelming. And when he sings I get tingly all over, he owns each song he sings. Okay it's official I *heart* Ben Johnson!!
(((sigh)))
Now if you're in the Los Angeles Area, the 100Monkeys are playing twice on the 29th. At noon @ the Mint and later that evening @ the Viper Room at 9pm! Get your tickets....wait I better get a ticket too!! If you're coming stop and say 'HI' I'll be at the bar!
If you read my review on the New Moon Soundtrack you know I didn't like most of the songs. 'Monsters' have been on repeat on my ipod for weeks now. Due to me being a grown up with a job I had to pass up a chance for a phone interview but HB was ok with me submitting questions for the TS blog!
Enjoy!
Are you Twilight Saga fans? (its ok if you¹re not I won't yell or scream!:)) yes absolutely! but i am a newbie....i have had to catch up. at this point ihave read all 4 books and seen both movies...
Have you read any of the books? yep.
Was 'Monsters' written especially for New Moon or did someone hear it and wanted to add it to the soundtrack? i had the song written before. i recorded it along with the songs that makeup the hurricane bells record, "tonight is the ghost". at the last moment idecided it didn't fit with the record, and so i left it off, and just a fewmonths later it was picked for the movie.
(Answer this question ONLY if the song was written for New Moon) Was this song written with our favorite vampire Edward or Bella's best friend Jacobthe werewolf? ha! even though i just answered i am going to have to say edward anyway. i am team edward.
I like the fact that Monsters has a dark undertone with an upbeat tempo, it seems to soften the the blow about things that creep in the night, was this intentional? Or a complete accident? well it was intentional to have a catchy melody with darker words. i thoughtthey balanced together well, you're singing "situations are critical" butyou're still kinda interested to see why. You were at the premiere in Los Angeles, what do you think of Twilight fans? oh i saw them before that! we did some hurricane bells shows on the new moon mall tour. the twilight fans are rabid. but from my perspective it was onlygreat. everyone is so excited, and the movie and the music makes them very happy.
Ok, I could not find a bio on the group so I¹m going to ask a sillyquestionÅ who¹re the members of Hurricane Bells? ha! i'll have to see about that! the record and song in the movie were recorded entirely by me. i'm steve, and i have also been the singer and guitar player in a band called longwave for almost 10 years. i played everyinstrument and recorded every note on the hurricane bells stuff, on the same laptop i am typing on now.
How long have you been together? well for the shows i have asked some friends of mine, in other bands, tocome and play. the first live hurricane bells show was in september.
Because there's more to you than the New Moon soundtrack , How would youdescribe your music to new fans? it's got a lot of heart.
Musical influences? m ward, daniel lanois, t bone burnett, dave fridmann.
Did you grow up in a musical household? not really. i learned when i was older that my dad had sung in high school.but i never heard him.
If you could do a duet with anyone dead or alive who would it be and why? hmmm i'm going to say ashen keilyn, who sings live with hurricane bells. shealso has a band called scout that i play guitar in/produce. she is great.
Not only I'm in love with Monsters but 'I Can't Remember' made me cry the first time I listened to it. What was the inspiration of the lyrics? wow thanks. that was an important song for me. i had that a while and didn'tknow how to record it until i just sang it for kicks with the echo on. afterthat it was the easiest song on the record. as for words, i am not sure ican explain any better here than what i wrote, sorry...
Favorite cover songs to perform? hurricane bells has just started playing "will you still love me tomorrow",just ashen and i. i have always loved that song, and i thought someoneshould do a guy/girl version.
When are you coming to Los Angeles? (Yes this is a strictly selfishquestion!) ha! i would guess around february. that is when the HB record will bereleased in a physical form, as it is only available now on itunes/amazon.we will be doing some touring around then.
Again thank you for taking the time to speak with Twilight Sisterhood, as much as we love the Twilight Saga we also love good music and I personally thank you for giving us that. thank YOU! steve
How kickass was that?! Go check out Huricane Bells on itunes and myspace!
"There will be a commentary track," Weitz revealed, saying that he'll soon head into the recording booth with his three big stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. "It'll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way," he grinned. "We kind of like each other, so that should be fun."
In addition, fans can look forward to picking up a copy of "Twilight in Forks," the independently made documentary that teased fans with brief glimpses of its exploration into the real-life town that inspired Stephenie Meyer, only to be snatched up by Summit in September. An insider told MTV recently that the film will not be re-edited but will hit DVD alongside "New Moon" with all-new packaging and artwork.
There will be probably about 20 minutes of deleted material," he explained, promising some meaty footage. "It really is good stuff and a bonus for the fans."
Among this bonus footage could be several moments MTV knows were shot but did not make the final "New Moon" cut, including:
» A scene with Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria driving to Forks in a car, snacking on a dead human. It was one of the final moments the actress filmed as the nomadic vampire.
» A scene with the human characters eating Burger King.
» Another scene with the humans, this time with Justin Chon and Michael Welch expressing jealousy over Edward's car.
» More scenes with the Volturi in Italy.
» An extended cut of the scene where Mike Newton quotes Shakespeare to Bella in the Forks High parking lot; in it, he does a Marlon Brando impersonation.
» Scenes alluding to the ongoing breakup between Newton and Anna Kendrick's Jessica.
"When I made the film, I wanted it to arrive at a certain kind of flow and cadence," Weitz said of why he had to leave so many scenes on the cutting-room floor but hopes to restore many for the DVD. "[They would have affected] how the movie worked, and they didn't completely fit. But there'll be some groovy stuff in [the DVD]."
Twilight won for Best Soundtrack at the American Music Awards last night. And you know what that means? Rob now has an official award recognizing the fuckawesomeness of his music.
As we blogged a couple of weeks ago, a group of authors in the Twilight community have banded together to create The Fandom Gives Back as a way to help raise funds to combat childhood cancer in conjunction with Alex's Lemonade Stand.
In just a little over a week, their plea for us to donate in the fandom's name has snowballed into a full on auction with over 170 authors offering up stories as well as donations of autographed memorabilia, crafts, artwork, blog spots, podcasts - anything and everything that could be donated, was. The auction goes through midnight TONIGHT. If you have not yet donated or bid, please check out the full auction listing and auction boards immediately.
In less than a week we as a fandom have raised over $24,919.04.
$24,919.04
Amazing. Awe inspiring. I am in tears.
This is not pocket change. This amount, which is only a rough estimate and is rising even as I type this, will make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. There a multitude of ways this money can be used, one of which is research. Lolashoes, one of the founders of The Fandom Gives Back and a research scientist by trade, had this to say:
It could fund a small research array to identify genetic changes in a type of malignant tumor.
It could purchase enough reagents, equipment, and supplies to conduct an experiment on a novel cell signaling pathway and how it affects tumor development.
It could pay a large part of a graduate student’s salary (sadly enough, ha) as well as travel funds to a meeting to meet other scientists and senior researchers.
It could fund the development of a novel tumor cell line which could be used to screen novel therapies.
It could do any of these things or so many others. The amount that WE have raised TOGETHER is already enough to help impact childhood cancer in a MEANINGFUL and SIGNIFICANT way. I hope you all understand that what we have raised has the potential to be an entire research grant, or to fund a nursing grant to expand on the current care options for sick kids.
Perhaps even more importantly, it’s enough to send an entire family to another city for several weeks while their child receives treatment.
What does $24,919.04 mean to me? It means that maybe someone else won't have to watch their seven year old cousin waste away, their family desolate in the absolute helplessness that cancer fosters. It means that maybe some other child will have the benefit of receiving care at a specialized hospital, whether or not they have insurance. It means the possibility of new drugs and new procedures to prevent and treat this pervasive illness.
It means hope.
What we have done - what we are doing - is nothing short of amazing. My chest is cracking open with pride and gratitude and awe.
We are an amazing group of women.
If you have not yet bid, please register at the forum and take a look around. I guarantee there will be something that you'll like. And if not, you can donate directly at the Fandom Gives Back donation page.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to participate in this effort. Even the smallest donation will instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in you. Be part of something special; contribute to what will surely be this fandom's lasting legacy.
I came across this story about Kellan Lutz was at one time embarassed about his suckable lips! WTF?! AceShowBiz :
"I played the trombone growing up and my lips developed and I thought it was because I was playing the trombone," Kellan told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson. "You have to use that buzzing, so I thought that's what made me have big lips and I was very insecure about it. I was like, 'I have huge lips!' "
However, "Now it's turned into something good," added the movie hunk. "It's funny, I just heard [a rumor] that I'd been getting lip injections ... collagen or something like that."
Dear Kellan, If more men had your lips the world would be a happier place. You're hot, never forget that and if you're getting injections then I want to thank your doctor. But I they're all natural....so I have to thank your good genes?! Either way.....DAYUM Baby! xoxo, Tammy
Yes! It's true, we got to see Rob Pattinson in the flesh, looking DAMN sexy and HOT in his tailored suit! Thank God I was there to protect him from the crazy people right behind me, I swear for a moment I thought they would knock down the barrier! Really, in the end who can blame them, but RELAX ladies he will never be yours! Well I was just amazed to see how HAPPY he looked! He was all smiles and that smile flashed right in front of me and I caught it on video! So here you go, enjoy my moment with Rob Pattinson!
Hey everyone! As you know a few members of Twilight Sisterhood camped out for the New Moon Premiere. Thankfully we were in the first 50 of 750 people. After 5 days, 4 nights, no sleep, dry skin, dead cell phones, bathroom scrambles, media circus, loud frat UCLA students, and endless questions its safe to say it was worth it to be at the Red Carpet event.
The sad part is my camera was angry and died towards the end of the event so not as many pics as I'd hoped. I did have a fangirl moment when Stephanie Meyers came through the line.....don't want to tear up, but she's a sweet and wonderful person and happy to have met her!
But I hope to get some from the other TS members so we can post them for you! Until then....Enjoy....some are drool worthy!
This man needs no Introduction.....he plays Edward Cullen, he is.....
ROBERT PATTINSON!! Talk about fuckhot! Geez! His lips, his eyes, his smile....yeah I nearly lost it when he ran his fingers through his hair.
He tried to sign everything he could possibly get his hands on in the little time he had. He was all smiles for the fans, I guess trying to figure out why we camped out. The answer is simple....cause you're fucking AWESOME!!
Ok, I'm eating crow.....Kristen Stewart was very nice, very sweet.....((gulp)) and very, very pretty (still thinks she needs a burger and a nap!) but still pretty girl with strange hair. Loved her dress, and the shoes were to die for!
Taylor Lautner being sweet as can be!
Kellan Lutz looking FuckHot as always. Those eyes, that smile....makes MELT!!
Ashley Greene
Me and the Gorgeous Nikki Reed!
Chris Weitz
Peter Facinelli, Dr. Carlisle Cullen. Not long after Peter tweeted about being at the DMV, he drove by on his motorcycle to see who camped out for the New Moon premeire. He smiled and waved to the masses.... I <3 PETER!!!
Nikki Reed blurry
Jeffrey Dean Morgan!
Jennie Garth
Xavier Samuel, Okay if you're read some of my blogs while Xavier was filming Eclipse you know that I developed a crush the Australian hottie. So yes I did a dance and a howl when I saw him and screamed his name till he came over and got a picture!
Daniel Cudmore
Chaske Spencer is one HOT mofo! He has that commanding presence that stole my heart and made me a blubbering idiot by saying " Damn you're tall! Nice" yeah he does that to me!
Elizabeth Reaser, Esme. This woman is simple GORGEOUS! She has the cutest shape, the nicest friends, and was great to the fans. I've loved her since her Grey's Anatomy days.
