Twilight Sisterhood is an unofficial fanpage dedicated to the world of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. We are in no way affiliated or have contact with Ms. Meyer; or anyone else involved with the publishing and/or filming of these stories. The articles, pictures, and news stories belong to their original suppliers and no copy right infringement was intended.
Directed by “The Sixth Sense” filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, “Airbender” will bring the story of element-harnessing Avatars to the big screen next July. Rathbone portrays Sokka, a Southern Water tribe Warrior who helps the heroic Aang battle evil. If all goes well, the filmmakers have stated their intent to make it the first part of a trilogy, which would presumably shoot while Rathbone finishes out his work as “Twilight” character Jasper Hale.
Which would be fine with Rathbone, as he told us that playing Sokka allowed him to be much more expressive then he gets to be in “New Moon.” “Jasper is so composed and kind of holding it all back, so getting to play a character where I can just run into people was great! I got to do this fight scene where I get attacked by three different people at the same time; I’m running through a battle trying to find my little sister, worried about where she is, and this guy charges me with a sword! So, I make the split decision to just tackle him, take him straight to the ground, and then someone else comes behind me and tries to slash me in the back - so I pull that guy over me, and he hits his own guy.”
Adding that he also got to “ride on Appa, that big beast flying-bison creature,” Rathbone said that as much as he loves hanging around with emotionally-conflicted Cullens, he also enjoyed being an action star. “It was crazy! I’m attacked by three different people [in that scene], and I have to fend them all off with a boomerang! I’m throwing people over my back, I’m constantly being stabbed at -- it was a blast!
“I’m actually producing my first film this year called ‘Girlfriend,’” he says. “New director Justin Lerner kind of made a splash at a couple festivals last year with a short film he did.”
“It’s an exciting time. I get to play a part in it and have a little bit more say behind the scenes, behind the camera, which is really interesting. It’s what I’ve always really wanted to get into. I love film. I love the art behind it.”
“I wake up everyday and I just thank God I’m alive and get to do this,” Jackson gushes. “It’s incredible.”
“We’d love it,” Rathbone told MTV News. “[But] we’re not really pushing for it,” he said. “It’s one of those things where if they want to put our song on the album, I’m not going to complain.” The 24-year-old describes his band’s sound as “old school rock and roll,” that is heavily influenced by blues and funk. “It’s not whiney music,” he added.
After the jump, the actor talks about his now-famous scene in the “New Moon” trailer and working with director Chris Weitz.
Rathbone doesn’t let his music get in the way of his acting, though. “Whenever I’m working on the ‘Twilight’ movies, I work all day on the film and then I go and rehearse with my band at night,” said the Singapore-born actor.
Speaking of “Twilight,” Rathbone said that if fans were excited by the recently unveiled “New Moon” trailer, they will be blown away by the full-length film.
“That’s only the beginning of it,” he said of the quick scene in the trailer in which Robert Pattinson’s Edward hurls him across a room and onto a piano. “I got to do some stunts on that. It’s going to be a really action-packed movie.”
He also said that despite their new found fame, the bond between the cast members is as strong as ever. “The first day I was back [on set], all the cast was hanging out in Peter Facinelli’s [Dr. Cullen] room and it was just like a family reunion. It was kind of like we’d been away for a month. It didn’t seem like a year.”
Rathbone also said that new director, Chris Weitz, brought new energy to the set. “In terms of having a new director, nothing really changed too much,” Rathbone said. “It was just a different subtle, vibe because the director really manages the energy on set, and it was great.”
Regarding the storyline in “Moon,” Rathbone declared that he likes the fact that the sequel delves deeper into Stephenie Meyer’s fantasy.
“As you progress [into the series], you get deeper into the lore of the mythical world that we’re establishing with the werewolves, kind of getting more into what the vampire society and legacy is. … [Plus] you get the other side of that love story.
“A lot of elements that I think fans having been waiting to sink their teeth into,” Rathbone said with a smile. “Sorry, I had to use that pun!”
Oh please say it can be so, could you just imagine the 100 Monkeys on the New Moon Soundtrack?? How hella cool would that be??
*sigh*

"I woke up in the middle of the night. I thought, 'They're going to be climbing that tree, and they're not going to have anything to say. It's just going to be another scene of them looking into each other's eyes,' " Hardwicke recalls.
Unfortunately, due to the writers' strike at the time, Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg wasn't available to craft any lines. So Hardwicke hastily assembled a list of possible dialogue.
"I gave it to Rob, the whole list," Hardwicke recalls. "And I said, 'Rob, which one do you want to say?' And he goes, 'I want to say the spider-monkey one.' "
Twilight and cast members are up for 7 awards which include, Best Movie - Twilight, Best Breakthrough Male Performance - Robert Pattinson, Best Breakthrough Male Performance - Taylor Lautner, Best Female Performance - Kristen Stewart, Best Kiss - Robert Pattison & Kristen Stewart, Best Fight - Robert Pattinson & Cam Gigandet and Best Song from a Movie - Paramour - Decode (see below, its a FANTASTIC song and a great video!!)
Last but certainly not least the MOST highly anticipated part of the evening (besides seeing our beloved Rob) will be (hopefully) steamy trailer of New Moon. Click here to see the clip yet again...
"It's my birthday," says Bella (Best Actress nominee Kristen Stewart) as she pulls up in her iconic truck. "Can I ask for something?" Considering her words carefully, Edward looks at his true love. As the music swells, a close-up on KStew reveals her big line: "Kiss me." To the delight of a million Twilighters, Edward Cullen obliges her with a deep smooch that could very well be nominated for next year's Best Kiss award. And then, Bella punctuates the point by taking their forbidden relationship to the next level. "I love you," she says, closing out the clip.
OME...my heart is pounding yet again, I don't even have to watch the clip. I don't know how I'm going to make it to November.
The MTV Movie Awards will air TONIGHT 9PM Eastern, 8PM Central, 7PM Mountain, 6PM Pacific ( I think that should cover it!)
Please please PLEASE ...don't forget to keep voting for "Twilight" <<<---YES THATS THE LINK!!! CLICK ON IT!!! Source
Pattinson, Stewart — no doubt some great Frenching going on, and I respect that, but for level of difficulty, if this was the Olympics, kissing Robert Pattinson is like a three on the difficulty," Lennon told MTV News. "There's no trick to doing that. I don't know why you get awards for kissing Robert Pattinson. You're not going to find anybody down in Times Square that's gonna run up and wanna kiss me. Rudd did, and that's points for difficulty."
"We're so excited. There have been people here since 2:30, and the more people
that show up the more exciting it gets," said Tammy, 32. "I might just have to
crash in my car after it all. I've never been so excited. This is all a
movement. ... We're having a party tomorrow and making 'vampire kiss' martinis!"
