Show Me the Money SUMMIT!

Summit. Summit. Summit.... *tsk tsk*,

It's time to SHOW THEM THE MONEY SUMMIT! So the word on the street is that there are negotiations that may not be going as smoothly for Twilight stars Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz. Now that the director for The Twilight Saga's: BREAKING DAWN has been chosen and that it will be filmed into 2 parts..........it is essential that the cast be perfect for the final installment Summit!
Of course Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have all been taken care of but it's time to remember the other cast members who have brought to life some of our OTHER beloved characters! It's one thing that "Victoria" was recast for the 3rd installment which you might remember cauing havoc in the Twilight Universe, but it's entirely another thing to think you could just replace Alice and Emmett Cullen! This is just plain insanity! C'mon it's time to pay up and give them what they deserve! It's not like you don't have the funds to give them a decent pay raise, hell I have a closet, garage and drawers full of Twilight merchandise that says otherwise!
You have met some of the TwiHards right? You know they will come after you in search of blood! Your fans are VERY committed and I think it's time that you commit to your actors who have been part of the success of Summit in regards to the Twilight Saga franchise. I'm not saying I won't go see the movie, but I will think twice about buying all my favorite Alice and Emmet merch.....just sayin'....

So Summit in conclusion......"SHOW ME THE MONEY!" and I will show you mine!

Rob Hires His Own Security

...because Summit is FAIL.

In a statement released today, Summit had the following to say regarding Rob Pattinson's continued harassment on the set of Remember Me.

"Robert Pattinson is fine. The reports are exaggerated, and the accident was not caused by fans. Production continues."

I'm sure it was not as dire as it was made to sound - hello, people get clipped by cabs in New York constantly, and obviously he is fine - but I am calling bullshit on the not being caused by fans thing. Tensions are high, and I'm sure he is freaking the hell out.

"We're taking it as it unfolds," says a source deep within Summit, who, for the moment, declined to release any official statement on Pattinson's personal safety during filming. "Security has been increased," adds our in-the-know insider. "But there's no grand plan."

Excuse me? No grand plan? HE IS YOUR MONEY MAKER, SUMMIT. A money maker who happens to be terrified of crowds and is paranoid that one day he may be stabbed. Do you not think it is within your best interest to keep him protected? Not only in the physical sense, but it has got to be mentally exhausting to be subjected to this kind of harassment day in and day out. And let's be honest - how well can he work, how well can he focus on getting into character when he is constantly subjected to the screams from rabid fangirls?

This is not ok.

According to People online, Rob has now arranged for his own private security in addition to the five bodyguards Summit has provided. I realize the nature of this movie requires filming in public locations, but somehow other production companies seem to be able to keep their actors safe. Pretty sure I've never heard of Brad Pitt being mobbed by fans while filming.

The problem is two-fold. First, Rob's fans need to stop being idiots. I really do not understand the mentality of the people camping out on set day after day, and screaming whenever they get a glimpse from him. You love him so much right? Well, as Kyla713 and the RPattz Mamabear Foundation so eloquently stated, if you love him - LEAVE HIM ALONE. He is a NORMAL person, and the normal rules of conduct apply.

Hey, you exuberant 'fans' in New York... yer doing it wrong.

Secondly, Summit needs to get their heads out of their collective ass and get this boy some security. Obviously whatever they've "beefed up" is not sufficient. GET IT IN GEAR, DOUCHEBAGS.

Eff.

Sometimes I just want swaddle him in bubble wrap and put him in my pocket.

New Remember Me Poster

Summit Entertainment has released a teaser poster and description for Rob's upcoming project, Remember Me.

Infused with humor and romance, "Remember Me" tells the unforgettable love story of two young people who learn how important it is to love passionately and live loudly everyday of one's life.

I can't wait to see this movie; it will be the first mainstream role (other than his supporting part in Harry Potter) that he's been in, and I am so excited to see how well he pulls it off. I think this is such a big step in the right direction for him and will garner him more respect for his talent and opportunities to showcase it in the future.

Pattinson Confirms Role in Breaking Dawn

Females around the world can all breathe a collective sigh of relief today (I for one am JUMPING UP AND DOWN!!!), Robert Pattinson has confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that he will indeed star in Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment of the Twilight franchise, he just doesn't know when because of his jam packed schedule.

Here is what THR reported:

Fans have been hoping for a movie version of the fourth novel from Stephenie Meyer's best-sellers, so Pattinson's commitment is the biggest fillip yet. The fourth book (caution -- spoiler alert) centers on Bella and Edward's marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.

Dropping in on the Croisette on the way to shooting the final four days of "New Moon" in Italy on Friday, Pattinson said he is heading back to Vancouver in October to finish up "Twilight: Eclipse," the third installment. In between, the British actor, who turned 23 last week, plans to star in "Remember Me," which Summit also is producing.

The script adaptation for "New Moon" beefs up his character's role considerably -- in the book, Edward is a "a voice in Bella's head," he said.

Said Pattinson, laughing: "You're playing a figment in Bella's imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2-D way. I hope it doesn't translate onscreen as being boring." The hardworking actor is taking a few days off after completing "New Moon" before the start of the "Remember Me" shoot. He plans three days off after an eight-week planned shoot for "Remember Me" before finishing "Eclipse" before October.
Pattinson said "Remember Me" is very difficult to describe but said it is very much about him and, after reading the script last summer, felt a connection with it. The main protagonist is a 23-year-old man who spends six weeks after meeting someone working out if he is in love or not.

So get ready ladies Robert is on the horizion for many moons to come....

New Moon script returned to Summit!

Okay so a woman found not 1 but 2 that's linked to hottie the Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
Casey Ray found two scripts, one for the vampire sequel "New Moon" and one for adifferent movie titled "Memoirs." She decided to return them to the studiomaking the films. In return, she was invited to attend the movies' premieres, her lawyer said.
First of all she's WAY more honest than I ever would be. Not that I would leak it but I would read it and have New Moon Parties like a crazy! And then I would call Summit to ask if they're missing some scripts and one they realize I was a calm fan I would head out to the premiere and drool over Rob discreetly.
But the real question is how did the scripts end up in the trash?
The Clooney movie includes actress Anna Kendrick, who is also in the "Twilight"vampire movie. A spokeswoman for Kendrick, Lisa Perkins, said the actress wouldn't have left scripts lying around.

Ahhhh.....so the plot thickens! Now maybe Kendrick told her friend to toss it New Moon because she's done and Memoirs because she didn't get the rold she wanted. But her idiot friend was text messaging someone and wasn't paying attention, therefore just tossed the scripts improperly.

When Ray found the scripts, she considered leaking them to a national tabloid but decided against it, said her lawyer, Al Watkins."My client didn't really want to get paid," he said, but she was interested in hanging onto the scripts as collector's items. Watkins helped her return them to Los Angeles-based Summit Entertainment LLC, the studio making the movies. He said the studio invited Ray to premieres for the two films, and will certify the scripts as authentic after the movies are released.

Okay I like this Ray woman, she didn't run the tabloids like most idiots and play hard ball to get some cash. She's seems like a really decent person, that's a rare trait nowadays. This is why I believe in Karma.....Ms.Ray turned in both scripts and recieved tickets to both premieres! See Earl was telling the truth!!!
Last year's original "Twilight" film grossed over $350 millionworldwide.

Everytime I read that line I hear Dave Chappelle saying "I'm Rich Bitch!"....am I the only one?

David Slade addresses Twilight remarks

Summit Entertainment contacted Twilight Lexicon and was asked to share this email with the Twilight fans:
In any case, here is David, unedited and in his own words:
“Dear Laura and Lori
I would be grateful if you could distribute this statement to
the fans of Twilight:I would like to address some statements that I made regarding Twilight. When I made these comments, I had neither seen the film nor read the books. I was promoting a comedy short film that I had made for Xbox and every pop culture subject was seen as a possible comedy target. I was being silly and none of the statements were from the heart.
Of course, I have since seen the movie and read the books and was quickly consumed with the rich storytelling and the beautifully honest characters that Stephenie Meyer created.I would like to reassure everyone involved that I am invested in making the best film that I am humanly capable of, and that I am acutely aware of the power of the original books we serve. Please be rest assured this statement is absolutely from the heart.
yours sincerely
DAVID SLADE”

Note to David: PLEASE MAKE A KICKASS MOVIE!!! That's all we ask! Oh and stay true to the book.

Robert Pattinson: 'Remember Me'?

Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions - a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.

New Moon directed by Chris Weitz is set to open in North America on Nov 20, while the third film, Eclipse, to be directed by David Slade, will open on June 30, 2010.

The Ever Expanding New Moon Cast

Actor Michael Sheen has reportedly been confirmed by director Chris Weitz to fill the role of Volturi leader, Aro, in The Twilight Saga's New Moon. Sheen has most noteably played the likes of British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, in The Queen and the infamous, David Frost, in Frost/Nixon.
Also, according to IMDB, Justine Wachsberger has been cast as Gianna, the Volturri's personal receptionist. Please be aware that Summit Entertainment has yet to confirm either, so we'll call them speculations at this point.

Jamie Campbell-Bower of Sweeney Todd to play Caius in New Moon?

British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower has revealed he will play Volturi leader Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The 20-year-old, who has appeared in RockNRolla and Sweeney Todd, told the BBC news website that taking part in the vampire series was "very exciting".

"You're the first people I've told" he said. "Shooting has already started, and I'm going over in June."

Campbell-Bower confessed he was not previously aware of the character: "I hadn't read the books before. But it's a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year."

In relation to the fanfare that Robert Pattinson has received because of Twilight, he said, "I doubt I'll get the same sort of adulation as Robert - but it's always nice when people recognise you for your work." And apparently, like Rob, he is quite the singer, as well. Hmmmm...
Be advised that Summit Entertainment has yet to confirm.

Summit Confirms Robert's Involvement in 'Memoirs' Consideration

Summit Entertainment is confirming today that Robert Pattinson, who proved his romantic appeal in Summit's "Twilight," may play another star-crossed lover in a new project called "Memoirs" that Summit is currently assembling.

Pattinson, who is reprising his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon," is in early talks to star in the new project, which Allen Coulter is considering directing.

"Memoirs," based on an orignal screenplay by Will Fetters that will be rewritten by Jenny Lumet, who penned "Rachel Getting Married," tells of two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they struggle to deal with family tragedies.

Summit is sometimes a little slow to these confirmations, so it's nice to see now. We'll keep watching for more info.
