100Monkey Video: Thank You!

This is our 400th post for the Twilight Sisterhood!

I'm having the time of my life blogging and I know my fellow bloggers feel the same. In January the TS member encouraged me to head out to the 24K Lounge to hear Jackson Rathabone's band play. What they didn't know the frenzy that sparked inside me. From that night on I went to as many 100Monkeys shows. I have way too many videos and pictures. I went from being a Twilight/Jackson Rathabone fan to being a serious fan of 100Monkeys purely for the music. I think Ben Johnson, Ben Graupner and Jerad Anderson are very talented musicians and with Jackson in the mix they create a unique rock sound.

With it being our 400th post I would like to dedicate this to our many readers around the world. 100Monkeys sometimes play a song called THANK YOU! So again THANK YOU TO THE TS Readers!

Flava Flav is in the House!

Flava Flav is in the House!!

First of all this is NON-TWILIGHT related but its music therefore I will share! Last night Flava Flav made an appearance at the 24K Lounge. If you're not familiar with Flava he's one of the founding members of Public Enemy and most recently VH-1 reality star of Surreal Life and Flava of Love. Flav sat in on the jam session with 100Monkey member Jerad Anderson (Ben Graupner played with Sandman and even though Ben Johnson did make an appearance he did not perform) as well as 3 free style rappers.
In all the madness that surrounds Flava Flav you can not deny the man is talented. Just watching him play drums for 20 mins I was in awe. I was never into Public Enemy so I never understood the fascination but feel the energy radiating as he played was simply amazing. Unfortunately, I did not have a change to speak with Flava because he was whisked away to the VIP section but he seemed to be enjoying himself.

Tonight the 100Monkeys will play at the King Kings in Hollywood. If you're in the area please stop by its their last L.A. show for at least 1 month. Had to include some shots of Jerad Anderson playing.

100Monkey Monday!

I think to kick off 100Monkey Monday this video is in order. I'm still happy about seeing Jackson Rathbone playing with his fellow band mates on friday night so I wanted to share this video of him singing on Friday night and a video of Jerad Anderson "singing" at the Tuesday night jam session at the 24K Lounge.

100Monkey Tuesdays.....

I'm sad to report that 100Monkey Tuesday at the 24K Lounge is no more. They recently blogged about the change on their Myspace page.

100 Monkeys

They will play at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip Thursday night!!! WOO HOO!!

Hey Hey Hey,

We hope everybody is looking forward to rocking out a Chain Reaction on the 3rd, we know we are.

We noticed that Chain Reaction has posted the show on their website with a picture of Jackson and a blurb saying, "100 Monkeys featuring Jackson Rathbone." Unfortunately this is not the case as Jackson will not be able to make it to the show that evening. We've asked them to take the posting down and they haven't yet so we just wanted to clarify...

100 Monkeys will be preforming without Jackson at Chain reaction on the third.

New 100Monkeys Song!!!

Celebrating St. Patty's day at the 24K Lounge with my favorite band the 100 Monkeys. They kicked off the night with a new song called Arizona! They brought the Sandman onto the stage, Ben did a great version of Smoke.

The 100Monkeys will be playing at the Mint on Thurday March 19th!

Sadly you can't see him too well because of the darkness and because he's playing drums and Jerod really couldn't move much.

Its Saturday....let's enjoy some 100Monkeys. Unfortunately I do not have the name for this song. And I apologize for the darkness the lighting was really bad.

A night with 100Monkeys

The night started with Josh (my future ex husband) and Mikey, next newcomer Amy, then Uncle Larry's brother's band The What's Ups played some covers (they had a fake go go dancer....odd) with this amazing drummer. I can see he will have a great future, he just soaking up all the knowledge from Uncle Larry and co. Then the 100 Monkeys came out. Even though Jackson Rathbone wasn't there with his fellow Monkeys - the show went on. It was more entertaining this time around and seems like the guys went with the vibe of the music. The drummer Ben Johnson sang some lead vocals which proves this band has more hidden talents. They play 2 new songs one was called Gus and the second.....I missed the title. After the 100Monkeys the Sandman came out and since he's gotten a band he's MUCH BETTER!!!! He actually rocks out. His drummer Ya-Ya sang a song. Unfortunately there wasn't a jam session tonight.
